Cheese!

Hi, I’m Joe Landen, a documentary photographer based in the UK.

I graduated from the University of South Wales in 2021 with a degree in Documentary Photography, and since then I’ve been building my experience across editorial, motorsport, and adventure projects.

Recently, I’ve been working with the Apparently racing team, documenting their journey testing and racing a classic Aston Martin DB6 and Mk II Jaguar, which they entered into the La Carrera Panamericana road race across Mexico. I followed the team from start to finish, producing daily photo and video updates shared live throughout the event.

My editorial work includes commissions for Classic Bike Magazine, photographing historic and custom motorcycles for upcoming features. I’ve also worked with Gun Hill Studios and The Tank Factory in Acton, supporting projects at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Touring Car Championships.

When I’m not shooting, I’m usually outdoors — hiking, travelling, or chasing new experiences that feed back into my work. In 2024, I spent a summer in America and Canada leading wilderness expeditions, which deepened my love for remote environments and self-reliant storytelling.

I’m drawn to images that connect people, place, and motion — where character and environment meet.
